Pineapple Upside Down Cake...Sorta

After starting a blog 2 years ago and deleting it several times...Here I am again! 

   I was laying in bed sleeping tossing around like a pig in a blanket the other night thinking about way too much, considering its summer and I'm unemployed for another 5 weeks! Woot Woot! But seriously, I decided life is kind of like a pineapple upside down cake. 

   Many times I think I'm just getting to the sweet part of life; got a job in another city 3 weeks after graduating, got engaged, started looking for a house, etc... Thought I was THERE! Then 6 months later, someone must've let a hair fall out their hairnet at Piccadilly and got it in MY cake.

  Kept my job, house, sanity, emotions in check and most of all got me back. This is when the real fun started! I thought to myself several times this is great, new friends, new experiences super awesome days! BUT again boy was I wrong, not at the best part of the cake yet!!!!

  Fast forward another year and I'm really me. I feel more confident in my comfort zone than ever, am in an amazing healthy relationship, and have had more absurdly joyous moments in the past 16 months than I did all through college. So maybe, just maybe, I'm getting to the sweetest part of the cake but just had to realize the top was on the bottom and now my cherries ARE on top! Can't wait to explore more this year, run a 1/2 marathon, and be a twenty something girl(woman?) smiling loudly!
