Life goes on...daily
I decided I'd try running again yesterday after 5 AMAZING days off.... 3 miles. New shoes, inserts. Looked pretty and my hair was oh-so girly. My hip/leg/bootay whatever bodypart is there decided to smile and I finished. But HEEELLOOOO I got my first "rubby" as PB calls them. PB by the way is also the beau. He's super sweet and training for this half with me :) More on that in a sec. So this "rubby" is on my armpit! I guess being a girl and the antiperspirant part failing and a seam on the shirt caused the stinging little rubby. Def. using the blisterblock there later today!
PB is NOT a runner! He is a swimmer, swam in college, coaches young Olympians and never does dryland. I somehow, well with my charm and sweet looks, convinced him to do the Disney Wine and DIne 1/2 in October. He was all about it when he knew we'd get food, adult bevvies, and a minivacay outta the race. Plus, who doesn't want to see their lady sweat like a pig on a daily basis and laugh at her when she runs into a tree?
Top 5 things we did in the 5 injured days:
1. Slept in until noon everyday! All summer I've been out the door by 7 to run. And it has limited mypretend i'm not a teacher in this community nightlife schedule flexibility.
2. Ate delicious frenchfries almost everyday.
3. Had friends over all 5 days including Ms.Moscato. mmm
4. Hot Tub with Ms. Moscato.
5. Rearranged furniture b/c I love to feel the house is "new." We now have a pullout bed chair thing in our room for convenient privacy from the roomies and somewhere else for me to sit and Pinterest or watch Teenmom secretly.
6. Had to add... arranged my classroom before my goal of 7/31. WooHOo!
